Auburn Athletics Welcomes Jamilah Ali-Shaffer as Senior Associate AD for Student-Athlete Support & Administration
The Auburn University Athletics Department is proud to announce the appointment of Jamilah Ali-Shaffer as the new Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support & Administration. In this pivotal role, effective July 1, 2024, Ali-Shaffer will report directly to the Deputy Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and will be instrumental in enhancing the student-athlete experience both on and off the field.(Auburn University)
A Visionary Leader in Student-Athlete Development
Ali-Shaffer brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes. Her responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of areas, including compliance, education, and support services. She will oversee the reporting of the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) Report, ensuring that Auburn Athletics maintains Title IX compliance. A key aspect of her role will involve serving as the primary contact for Auburn’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) platform, INFLCR. Ali-Shaffer will facilitate NIL education, address online infringement issues, and collaborate with the Auburn Trademark and Licensing office to create and distribute group licensing educational materials for student-athletes. Beyond compliance and NIL initiatives, Ali-Shaffer will oversee sports camp programs, ensuring they align with university policies and assist with scheduling of camp venues. She will also serve as an athletic sports administrator, responsible for the effective and consistent execution of competition and practice schedules, team travel, roster management, scholarship, budget, operational budget decisions, and student aid experience factors for the varsity sports program.
