The England international was inside his home with his children when masked intruders tried to break in — police have launched a full investigation.
Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling home break-in reports have shocked football fans once again, as the 30-year-old and his children were targeted in an attempted burglary on Saturday night. The frightening incident occurred around 7pm — just an hour before Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, Raheem Sterling and his family were inside the property when masked intruders tried to force their way in. Thankfully, no one was injured during the Raheem Sterling home break-in, and the offenders left the scene without managing to steal any valuables.
A police report has since been filed, and Thames Valley Police confirmed that an investigation is now underway. Sterling’s spokesperson released a statement confirming the traumatic ordeal but assured that everyone was safe.
“We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time,” the spokesperson told Daily Mail Sport.
“Whilst this is the ultimate violation of privacy and safety, we are thankful that he and his loved ones are all safe. We ask that the privacy of Raheem and his family be respected at this challenging time.”

Back in 2022, while Sterling was representing England at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, his Cobham home was raided, forcing him to fly back to the UK to be with his family.
That burglary resulted in the loss of an estimated £300,000 worth of jewellery and watches. Authorities later linked that case to a group of suspected career burglars targeting wealthy homes in the South East of England. Three Albanian nationals — Alfred Isufi, 48, Gerard Kalaja, 22, and Henri Osmani, 44 — were identified as suspects, while another man, Emiliano Krosi, 24, was found guilty of 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in 2023.
Surrey Police revealed that Krosi specifically targeted “large, detached homes in affluent areas” with private gardens, similar to Sterling’s property. Investigators estimated that the burglaries between October 2022 and March 2023 amounted to over £1.1 million in stolen goods.
Following this latest Raheem Sterling home break-in, Chelsea have expressed their support for the winger, who has not featured in the Blues’ first team this season but remains a key figure within the squad.
Police have urged anyone with information about the attempted burglary to come forward. In their official statement, Thames Valley Police said:
“Officers are conducting a thorough investigation and ask anyone with information, or who saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, to contact police.”
