The Indiana Fever coach and an ESPN/ABC sideline reporter for the NBA Finals are away from their duties to attend to a family matter.

Fever coach Stephanie White and reporter Lisa Salters are partners, and both have stepped away as Salters’ mother deals with a health issue, according to Sunday night’s ABC broadcast.

“I really want to win for Steph, she’s going through a tough time with her family right now,” Fever player DeWanna Bonner said before Saturday night’s Fever win over the Chicago Sky. “We want to rally together and get this one for her, but it’s also Austin’s first time at the helm, so it’s double-duty right now.”

Salters was part of ABC’s announcing team for Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. Jorge Sedano stepped in for Salters in Sunday night’s Game 2.
