Hosting of the Texas Longhorns Xavier will be visiting the Transfer Portal.

The Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team, under new head coach Sean Miller, is actively enhancing its roster through the transfer portal. Following Miller’s departure from Xavier University, several players, including Dailyn Swain, have entered the portal and are exploring new opportunities.

Swain, a 6-foot-8 forward from Columbus, Ohio, played two seasons at Xavier, averaging 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over 63 appearances. He was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team in 2024. Notably, Swain increased his scoring to 11.0 points per game in his sophomore year, along with 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Swain’s decision to transfer aligns with several of his Xavier teammates, including Trey Green and Cam’Ron Fletcher, who also entered the portal following Miller’s departure.

As of April 1, 2025, Swain announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns, joining his former coach Miller in Austin. This move is part of a broader effort by Coach Miller to strengthen Texas’s basketball program, which has seen significant roster changes, including the departures of Dillon Mitchell and Tyrese Hunter.

Swain’s versatility and experience are expected to contribute significantly to the Longhorns’ lineup in the upcoming season, as the team adapts to new coaching leadership and aims to build on its recent NCAA Tournament appearance.
