What is Will Howard’s NFL draft projection? Scouting report for the Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback

Howard, who transferred from Kansas State in 2024, has led the Buckeyes to title contention and has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Last January, Ohio State recruited quarterback Will Howard from Kansas State with the goal of leading the Buckeyes to a national championship. After a year, Howard is just one game away from the College Football Playoff final and appears to be on track to join the NFL in 2025.

Howard entered the Kansas State Wildcats in January 2020 as a three-star recruit, but he has made significant growth over his college career. He began his freshman year as the Wildcats’ backup, but started the final seven games. He barely became a consistent starter during his junior season before transferring to Ohio State in 2024.

Howard is expected to be picked by the NFL in 2025 after excelling with the Buckeyes on the route to the Cotton Bowl Classic. NFL Draft Buzz ranks him as the 12th best quarterback in his class and the 132nd best player in the 2025 NFL Draft.

According to their study, Will Howard is a predicted fourth-round draft pick from Ohio State.
