Two top offensive tackles have entered the transfer portal; will LSU follow them?

Big names continue to join the transfer portal. On Tuesday, two guys appeared in a position of necessity for LSU.
Tackles Conner Moore of Montana State and Monroe Mills of Louisville opted to weigh their choices. Both athletes are likely to garner interest from multiple Power Four institutions.
It’s unusual to find a seasoned offensive tackle on the transfer portal, but both of these players satisfy the requirements.
LSU is expected to lose four players from its 2024 offensive line, including offensive tackles Will Campbell and Emery Jones. LSU has already signed two offensive lineman through the transfer portal, but both are interior players. The Tigers remain in the lookout for a tackle.
Moore is an FCS transfer, and projecting FCS linemen can be difficult when coming up, but he helped Montana State establish one of the best run offenses in the FCS.
Mills will be a sixth-year athlete searching for his fourth school. This is a rare instance in which this isn’t a red flag. Mills has three years of starting experience at Texas Tech and Louisville and was ranked among the best tackles in the ACC in 2024.
We should find out LSU’s level of interest in the following days.
