Player grades: The Boston Bruins will face the Edmonton Oilers in their demolition game.

With skill, skill, and more skill, the Edmonton Oilers crushed the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Tuesday night.

With the subgroup of 5-alarm shots seven to six for Edmonton, the Oilers had 22 Grade A shots to 13 for Boston.
The majority of Boston’s greatest shots were during garbage time, but Stuart Skinner, the Oilers’ goalkeeper, stopped everything Boston could throw at him.

Connor McDavid, age 8. He increased the intensity of his onslaught to his typical high level. After Drai won an n-zone board fight to create a 2-on-1, he set up Perry for a risky shot late in the first and then got his own halfway through the second. In the second, McD was caught off guard during a power play that let Zacha in for a short-handed breakaway. He then hurried up ice to score after making seven fast dekes and then scoring on his own breakaway. Late in the second half, he nearly scored again on a break-in shot off another RNH assist. Errors or contributions to Grade A shots (GAS): Strongest Teams 4/1; Even Strength +7/-0.

Brown, Connor, age 7. A lot of hard work. contributed to a few Grade As during the assault. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +3/-0
Nugent-Hopkins, Ryan, 8. displayed a great deal of skill in this game. Early in the second, he backhanded a scorching one on goal after working a great give-and-go with McD. Excellent pass to set up McD for the second goal for Edmonton. GAS: ST 1/1; ES +5/-0
Draisaitl, Leon, 7. Not really noteworthy, but plenty of good. GAS: ST 2/0; ES +5/-1

Podkolzin, Vasili, 6. It was his usual diligent effort. He stopped a Boston Grade A chance with a superb backcheck in the third, and a second later, he grabbed his own Grade A in tight off an Arvidsson pass. With five hits, he was the team leader. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +3/-1
Arvidsson, Viktor, 7. Good game. Early in the second, he went to the net and nearly added Drai’s feed. As a reward for all of his recent hard work, he scored an empty-netter. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +5/-1

Adam Henrique, age 9. A fantastic game with two goals. subsequently set up Brown for Edmonton’s first Grade A after a clever give-and-go. After a few shifts, he located a peaceful area in the slot and scored the game’s opening goal by blasting in Corey Perry’s pass. In order to power in his second of the game, he once more found that peaceful corner. On the spot, eight victories and one defeat. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +4/-1

Skinner, Jeff, age 8. It might have been his finest Oilers game. hard work. shot son Grade A routines and made some good passes. Henrique scored his second goal with a brilliant low-high pass into the slot. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +4/-1
Zach Hyman, age seven. Another outstanding work from Hyman. He was busy the remainder of the period making havoc for Boston on the Edmonton attack after taking the puck hard to net for a Grade A in the first. He scored Edmonton’s third goal on the Virtuous Cycle. GAS: ST 2/0; ES +3/-0

Janmark, Mattias, age 5. Quiet game, yet he always puts in his best effort when he kills. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +0/-0
Kapanen Kasperi, 5. A quiet game as well, but that’s acceptable given the team’s dominant performance. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +0/-1
Corey Perry, 8. Fantastic game. He calmly held the puck before locating Henrique in the slot in the first, demonstrating his ability to get around the net. Late in the first, he hammered a Grade A of his own. In a brilliant veteran move three, he first hits Trent Frederic, who is a hothead, before provoking Frederic to start a brawl and demand an additional two minutes. A perfect score for that. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +2/-1

Evan Bouchard, age five, is getting really hot. McD was sent in for a Grade A off the rush after a great block of a devastating Pastrnak shot in the first. was partially or completely responsible for three breakaway shots. GAS: ST 1/2; ES +3/-2

Ekholm Mattias, 7. Another strong performance in their lengthy tenure as Oilers. A great way to start Arvidsson’s 5-alarm slotter is with a heads-up pinch. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +0/-0
Nurse Darnell, 6. Some nice, but some difficulties on his end. He released Pavel Zacha for an early Boston Grade A tip after misinterpreting the play. He raced up ice and nearly scored on a harpoon after a two-on-one feed from McDavid. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +2/-2
Brett Kulak, age 6. Kulak played a solid game as usual. After taking a vicious blow, he contributed to Edmonton’s opening goal with an outside shot. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +2/-3
Emberson, Ty, 7. The game is quiet, which is excellent for a D-man. GAS: ES

Brown, Josh, age 6. received a perfect score in the first attempt. Brown contested Zadorov after he ran Skinner. However, Edmonton dominated this one, so there was no need to fight. In the third, Frederic beat him in front of the net. GAS: ST 0/0; ES +1/-1

Skinner, Stuart, 9. When he needed to, he came in big. Zacha’s cunning little tip was sharp in the first 30 seconds, and Marchand’s tight later in the frame was solid. After an unpleasant run at Edmonton’s goaltender during the rush, Nikita Zadorov pulled him out of the game with a hefty knock. It was the quintessential running-the-goalie. Thankfully, Skinner made a comeback in the second game. With the score still 2-0, he made a tremendous save on Zacha’s short-handed breakaway and then on Pastrnak’s point-blank snipe. Frederic was solid once more in a close game early in the third, and he came up big as Boston stepped up, particularly with breakaway stops on John Beecher and Mark Kastelic.
