"Paul Pogba Would Thrive at Arsenal and give them a Big Boost in the title Race," Says Bacary Sagna
Former Arsenal Star Bacary Sagna Believes Pogba Could Be the Key to Gunners’ Premier League Title Push

Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna believes Pogba could be the answer to Arsenal’s title ambitions, particularly as they try to win their first Premier League title since 2004. According to Sagna, Pogba’s combination of skill and experience would make him ideal for Mikel Arteta’s youthful and vibrant squad.
Pogba’s career has been filled with both amazing highs and disappointing lows. He was once regarded as one of the best in the world; he won the 2018 World Cup with France during his first season at Juventus from 2013 to 2016. But he has been affected by injuries, inconsistencies, and off-field problems since returning to Manchester United and beginning a second season at Juventus. Before his ban, Pogba made just 12 appearances since re-signing with Juventus in 2022.
Despite this, Pogba has wonderful stats that include 423 career appearances, 73 goals, 91 French caps, and 11 major trophies, including four Serie A titles with Juventus. He is still a player who can have a big influence on matches because of his physicality and ability to control the game from midfield.
“The Premier League suits Paul Pogba—I would love to see him join Arsenal,” Sagna says, confirming that Pogba was successful in the Premier League. “He loves playing with young players around him—that is when he is most efficient.”

“I would love to see him join Arsenal, it would be great… Arsenal have a young, fresh team, and I see him performing in an Arsenal shirt. He will get love from their fans.” ❤️😳

Pogba might find his best form again in the setting of Arsenal’s team, which is full of young talent with potential. Pogba’s success at the 2018 World Cup, when he captained a talented team, is mentioned by Sagna as proof that the Frenchman can flourish in a team of youthful, confident teammates.
“Arsenal have a young, fresh team, and I see him performing in an Arsenal shirt. He will get love from their fans,” Sagna added.
However, the present midfield arrangement for Arsenal may make the transfer more difficult. Mikel Merino’s summer signing, club-record deal Declan Rice, Jorginho, and Thomas Partey give Mikel Arteta a lot of choices in the middle of the field.
Partey has been valuable to Arsenal’s successful start this season after suffering a lot of injuries throughout the 2023–24 season. However, there is doubt over his future at the Emirates because his contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
Although Pogba could possibly take Partey’s position, Arteta has made every effort to keep a unified, strong squad, and it is uncertain if bringing in a controversial player like Pogba could disturb the balance. Pogba might be a risk to Arteta’s ideas of unity and team spirit in the dressing room. The risk of disrupting the squad’s balance seems too high, especially with Thomas Partey possibly extending his stay and Mikel Arteta’s midfield presently filled.
