South Carolina LHP Jarvis Evans Jr. Enters the Transfer Portal

South Carolina left-handed pitcher Jarvis Evans Jr. has entered the NCAA transfer portal following a single season with the Gamecocks. The 6-foot-4, 216-pound junior from Buford, Georgia, transferred to South Carolina from the University of Georgia in the offseason. During the 2025 season, Evans made 13 appearances, including nine starts, finishing with a 4-2 record and 41 strikeouts. His notable performances included a seven-inning, one-run outing against The Citadel on March 5 and a six-inning, one-run game against the College of Charleston on March 18. Evans’ decision to enter the transfer portal adds to the list of departures from the South Carolina baseball program, which has seen multiple players enter the portal since June 2.
