The Gamecocks have landed Purdue 1B transfer Logan Sutter!
The South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team has secured a significant addition to their roster with the transfer of first baseman Logan Sutter from Purdue University. Sutter, a standout player from Loomis, California, brings a wealth of experience and impressive statistics that are expected to bolster the Gamecocks’ offensive lineup.
During his tenure at Purdue, Sutter established himself as a formidable presence at the plate. In the 2024 season, he played in 49 games, starting 39, and posted a .324/.467/.620 slash line, leading the team with 16 doubles and finishing with an OPS of 1.071. His performance earned him the team’s Offensive Player of the Year award and recognition as the Big Ten Player of the Week after a standout series against Stephen F. Austin .
Before his time at Purdue, Sutter honed his skills at Folsom Lake College, where he was named the Big 8 Conference MVP in 2023.
