At Rocklin High School, Barker was more than just a standout athlete; she was a leader. A four-year letterwinner and team captain, she earned Sierra Foothills League Player of the Year honors twice and was a four-time All-Sierra Foothills League First Team selection. Her senior season saw her bat .400 with 22 RBIs and a 1.265 OPS, while as a junior, she posted a .417 average with 29 hits, six home runs, 16 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases. Her prowess on the field was matched by her academic achievements, being a three-time scholar athlete. In the SEC Tournament, she started in the outfield against LSU and Arkansas, going 3-for-6 with three RBIs, including two solo home runs that were pivotal in OU’s comeback against the Razorbacks.
