South Carolina’s Paul Mainieiri will see familiar colors in the opposing dugout

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Paul Mainieri’s schedule this week has been a little busier as he has been in high demand in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area.

Mainieri says he has done a number of radio interviews in Louisiana along with his usual media schedule in Columbia.

With top-ranked LSU coming to town and Mainieri’s history with that program, the coach understands it is a topic that must be examined.

Mainieri spent 15 seasons at LSU where he won the 2009 national championship before stepping down in 2021 due to the well-documented chronic neck pain which required surgery.
