As of April 23, 2025, the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team is finalizing its roster for the 2025–26 season under head coach Mark Pope. Recent developments, including the departure of freshman guard Travis Perry, have added complexity to the roster composition.
Travis Perry, the all-time leading scorer in Kentucky high school basketball history and a standout at Lyon County High School, announced his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal after one season with the Wildcats Despite initial intentions to return following Kentucky’s season-ending loss to Tennessee, Perry’s limited playing time—averaging 2.7 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 9.8 minutes per game across 31 appearances—led to his decision to seek more playing time elsewhere.
As of now, Kentucky has 11 scholarship player:
- Guards Lamont Butler, Jaxson Robinson, Koby Brea, Collin Chandler, Kerr Kriisa, Amari Willias
- Forwards Andrew Carr, Brandon Garrison, Trent Noah, Ansley Almonr
- Center Otega Oweh Additionally, walk-on Zach Tow is part of the roster, bringing the total to 12 player. If Otega Oweh opts to return from the NBA Draft, the roster will expand to 13 scholarship player. This leaves room for two more players, depending on roster cap regulations still under review due to a proposed House settlement.
