The Wisconsin Badgers football program has recently received promising news from the transfer portal

with former four-star wide receiver Karmello English set to visit Madison this Monday. English, who began his college career at Michigan, transferred to West Georgia last offseason and had a standout season, recording 48 receptions for 693 yards and two touchdowns. At 6 feet tall and 182 pounds, English’s addition would significantly bolster Wisconsin’s receiving corps, which has seen departures in recent weeks.

This development comes on the heels of several changes within the Badgers’ wide receiver room. Notably, Trech Kekahuna, a redshirt freshman and former four-star recruit, entered the transfer portal but later withdrew his name, opting to return to Wisconsin for the 2025 season. Kekahuna had previously been one of the team’s top contributors, finishing the 2024 season with 25 receptions for 339 yards and two touchdowns. His return adds depth and experience to the receiving unit.

Additionally, Wisconsin has extended offers to other transfer portal wide receivers, including Caleb Goodie from Colorado State and Javon Tracy from Miami (OH). Goodie had an impressive 2024 season, leading Colorado State in receiving yards and touchdowns, while Tracy brings valuable experience from his time at Miami. Both players are expected to visit Wisconsin in the coming weeks, potentially strengthening the Badgers’ receiving corps further.

These moves reflect Wisconsin’s commitment to enhancing its offensive capabilities under new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes. With the addition of experienced transfer receivers and the return of key players like Kekahuna, the Badgers are poised to make significant strides in their passing game for the upcoming season.
