Tigers add transfer wing

As of April 18, 2025, the Auburn Tigers men’s basketball program has experienced significant roster changes, including the departure of key players and the addition of new talent. Notably, Chad Baker-Mazara, a versatile 6-foot-7 wing, has entered the transfer portal to pursue his final year of eligibility elsewhere. This move, announced on April 17, 2025, follows a standout season where he averaged 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, contributing to Auburn’s impressive 32-6 record and Final Four appearance .

In response to these departures, Auburn has bolstered its roster by adding Kevin Overton, a 6-foot-5 guard/wing from Texas Tech. Overton brings valuable experience, having averaged 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game during the 2024-25 season, contributing to Texas Tech’s run to the Elite Eight. His ability to play multiple positions enhances Auburn’s depth and versatility on the wing .
