Clowney began his collegiate career as a four-star recruit from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, where he was ranked among the nation’s top defensive prospects. Initially committed to LSU, he later chose Ole Miss, where he spent three seasons from 2020 to 2022. During his time with the Rebels, he played in eight games, recording 12 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack.
Transfer to Charlotte
In 2023, Clowney transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he played two seasons. Over 22 games with the 49ers, he accumulated 59 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. His 2024 season included 26 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks, showcasing his ability to impact the game defensively.
Commitment to Louisville
After entering the transfer portal following the 2024 season, Clowney chose to join Louisville under head coach Jeff Brohm.
