A cornerback for the Tennessee Titans is being sued for an alleged incident in December.
Tennessee Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is facing a civil lawsuit filed by Christian Nshimiyimana, a Texas man who alleges that Sneed or his personal assistant fired shots at him during an incident on December 6, 2024. The shooting occurred while Nshimiyimana was inside a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon at One Legacy Motors in Carrollton, Texas. Surveillance footage reportedly shows someone firing from a Lamborghini Urus. Nshimiyimana claims he did not know Sneed and had never met him before the incident. The lawsuit seeks at least $1 million in damages and accuses Sneed and an unidentified accomplice of attempting to intimidate Nshimiyimana afterward. The Carrollton Police Department arrested Sneed and his associate for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but they have not publicly commented on the matter. The Titans are aware of the situation and are coordinating with NFL Security per league protocol .
This legal issue adds to a history of off-field incidents involving Titans players. In 2017, wide receiver Tajae Sharpe and offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola were named in a lawsuit alleging that Sharpe assaulted a man outside a Nashville bar, with Tretola serving as a lookout . Additionally, in 2014, rookie Taylor Lewan chose to settle rather than go to trial for three misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an altercation outside a bar in Ann Arbor, Michigan . These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding the behavior of some Titans players off the field.
