No. 20 South Carolina Set for Regular Season Finale at The Ford Collegiate

RICHMOND HILL, Ga. – The No. 20-ranked South Carolina men’s golf team is gearing up for its final regular season test at The Ford Collegiate, hosted at The Ford Field & River Club. The two-day event tees off Monday with 36 holes of action, followed by the final 18-hole round on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks are heading into a loaded field, one of the most competitive of the season. Seven teams inside the top 35 of the Clippd Poll are participating, including the top two teams in the nation: No. 1 Auburn and No. 2 Texas. Also joining the field are ranked squads like No. 7 LSU and No. 23 Georgia Tech, as well as regional foes Georgia, Georgia Southern, and Tennessee.

South Carolina will look to finish strong before postseason play begins, led by redshirt junior Frankie Harris, who holds the top spot in the Gamecocks’ lineup this week. The Boca Raton, Florida native is also the team’s top-ranked player in the Clippd rankings at No. 50 and has consistently delivered strong play throughout the spring.

Joining Harris in the starting five are senior All-American Nathan Franks, junior Zach Adams, freshman Marek Fleming, and sophomore Brock Blais. Sophomore Bo Carpenter will compete as an individual in the event.

Blais is slated to be the first Gamecock to tee off Monday morning, going off hole one at 8:30 a.m. ET. South Carolina will be paired with fellow contenders Texas and Tennessee for the opening 36 holes.

The Ford Collegiate will offer South Carolina a final chance to fine-tune its lineup before the SEC Championship and potentially NCAA postseason play. With a mix of veteran leadership and emerging underclassmen, the Gamecocks have an opportunity to make a statement against some of the country’s elite programs.
