Auburn wraps up ‘a great spring’ with A-Day presented by Golden Flake
Auburn University concluded its 2025 spring football practices with a spirited A-Day event, presented by Golden Flake, on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Held at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the event drew approximately 33,500 fans, showcasing the community’s unwavering support for Auburn football.
Event Highlights
The day’s festivities commenced with the “On To Victory” autograph session, followed by the alumni flag football game and the traditional Tiger Walk. The main event, the A-Day scrimmage, began at 1:00 p.m., featuring a blend of individual drills, special teams work, and 11-on-11 red-zone situations.
Standout Performances
- Cam Coleman: The freshman wide receiver delivered an impressive performance, catching four passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. His 34-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Payton Thorne was a highlight of the scrimmage.
- Towns McGough: The hometown kicker earned special teams MVP honors by successfully converting seven field goals, including a game-winning 58-yard kick as time expired, leading the offense to a 28-27 victory.
- Jerrin Thompson: The transfer defensive back from Texas was named defensive MVP, recording three tackles and a sack, demonstrating his impact on the defensive side of the ball.
