AT&T Stadium is no longer a safe zone for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as he discovered during the Cotton Bowl game between Texas and Ohio State.
The Dallas Cowboys struggled throughout the 2024-25 NFL season, failing to meet expectations. It was much more difficult for the team at home, when they finished 2-7.
While the Cowboys did not make the playoffs, AT&T Stadium hosted a playoff game on Friday night, as the Texas Longhorns faced the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Unfortunately, another local team suffered a loss at the stadium.
The Cowboys also suffered a loss because Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was reportedly “loudly booed” by fans in attendance when he appeared on the jumbotron.
That’s a difficult situation for Jerry, who has been chastised by Cowboys Nations for a series of failures in recent years.
Cowboys supporters have launched online petitions to remove Jerry from his position as general manager, and they have even attempted to crowdfund a plane to fly a “Fire the GM” banner over the team’s facility.
Then there are supporters that turn up to The Star with their own signs.
Jerry’s most recent gaffe is his handling of the Mike McCarthy problem, which, like contracts with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, will be decided at the last minute. We knew the audience was already turning against the team’s owner and general manager, but booing him in his own $1.2 billion palace takes things to the next level.
