Christian Harrison, a former defensive back for Tennessee, declares his commitment to a new school.
Christian Harrison, a former defensive back for Tennessee Football, declared his Cincinnati commitment on Thursday. Harrison finished with 31 tackles in 29 career games over his three seasons with the Vols.
Harrison recorded 20 tackles this season, with 0.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. He had two quarterback hits and one broken throw. Although he began the season as Tennessee’s top nickel back, he and Boo Carter ended up sharing time at the position. Pro Football Focus reports that Carter played 424 snaps this season, while Harrison played 295.
In 13 games during the preceding two seasons, Harrison recorded 11 total tackles. He was rated No. 956 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking and was a three-star talent in the 2022 class. Out of Woodward Academy, he was ranked as the 42nd athlete in the class and the 96th best prospect in Georgia.

Holden Staes, a former tight end for Tennessee, also declared his Indiana commitment on Thursday. Twelve Vols have signed or committed to new schools through the NCAA Transfer Portal, including Staes and Harrison.
Along with former UT defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins, who also committed to FSU earlier on Sunday, wide receiver Squirrel White made his commitment to Florida State on Sunday night. Over the weekend, four former Vols made their college commitments: wide receiver Nathan Leacock committed to Purdue on Sunday, while wide receiver Chas Nimrod went to South Florida on Saturday. Louisville signed Kalib Perry on Monday.
Linebacker Jalen Smith is going to Mississippi State, defensive back Jordan Matthews has signed with Vanderbilt, and wide receiver Kaleb Webb is going to Maryland. Cameron Seldon attended Virginia Tech, while Khalifa Keith, a running back, signed to Appalachian State.
Two players were added by the Vols via the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Amari Jefferson, a wide receiver for Alabama, and Wendell Moe, an offensive lineman for Arizona, are the two players Tennessee has added thus far through the NCAA Transfer Portal.
The 6-foot-2, 197-pound Jefferson, a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, attended Chattanooga’s Baylor High School. He was ranked as the 34th best wide receiver in the class, the 204th best prospect in the nation, and the sixth best prospect in Tennessee. The Vols actively recruited him before he was signed to Alabama a year ago.
During the 2023 season, Moe played in all 13 games on Arizona’s offensive line. The team finished 20th in the country in overall offense (448.0), ninth in passing offense (308.3), and 18th in scoring offense (34.6 points per game).
In 2022, Moe played in four games as a freshman at Arizona, including three starts. At Long Beach Poly High School, he performed. In the 2022 recruiting class, Moe was rated as a three-star recruit.
