Jacob Trouba does not regret anything about his ugly departure from the Rangers.

It is safe to assume that Jacob Trouba has moved on with his life.

Over a month after the New York Rangers moved Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks, the veteran defenseman was questioned about his turbulent time in the Big Apple.

The Rangers general manager attempted to move Trouba over the summer before the situation became public and spun out of control.

As the Rangers began to suffer this season, Drury sent out a league-wide email hinting that he was open for business, particularly mentioning Trouba’s name as a player he would consider trading.

Things swiftly escalated, and Trouba was sent to Anaheim when the Rangers threatened to place him on waivers if he did not waive his no-trade clause.

“How it went down, leaving…” I will deal with it later. “If there’s anything to deal with,” Trouba told Paul Friesen of The Winnipeg Sun. “Obviously, it was challenging. But my family and I have a very excellent plan for the future.”

“No,” Trouba replied. “Not one thing.”

The 30-year-old is no longer captain, so he’s had to adjust to a completely different role with the Ducks.

He’s still adjusting to his new surroundings as he forms stronger bonds with his Ducks teammates.

“You’re a little more reserved,” Trouba explained. “I don’t have the relationships, which is obviously an important element of leadership: developing ties with men. Obviously, people need to trust you, and that takes time.”
