As he declares for the 2025 NFL Draft, Carson Beck writes a heartfelt letter to Georgia.

In an emotional Instagram post on Saturday morning, the Georgia Bulldogs quarterback officially announced his plan to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

This is the note’s transcription:

“I want to start by giving thanks to God for giving me the chance to play the game I love. I will always be thankful for everything this game creates and offers, through the highs and lows, the ups and downs. I’ve learned lifelong lessons from football, which has helped shape who I am now.

I’m incredibly appreciative to my family and loved ones for their unwavering support during this journey. I can’t express how grateful I am to them for always having my back, no matter what.

I want to express my gratitude to Coach Smart, Coach Bobo, and all the other coaches that helped me during my time at UGA. I appreciate your insight, your steadfast support, and most of all, the time you have given up to help me and the numerous people who came before and after. I appreciate your confidence in me and allowing me to take charge of this group. I will always be thankful for this blessing.

To my teammates: I consider myself fortunate to play alongside a lot of good-hearted and talented players. I shall miss the folks in that locker room the most because so many lifelong relationships have been formed there. I love you all like brothers and cherished every moment spent with you. I wouldn’t want to go to battle with anyone else, and it has been an honor. This season still has some unresolved business, and I’ll be here to help however I can. Do well in the end!

I will always treasure the memories I have made over my five years at the University of Georgia, which have been nothing short of a dream come true. Thank you for allowing me to be here, Dawg Nation, and to everyone who has encouraged and believed in me. It’s been an amazing trip, and all of these experiences have finally inspired me to advance in my football career. Having said that, I intend to declare for the NFL draft in 2025. “Go, Dawgs!”

As the sixth-all-time quarterback in Georgia history in terms of yards (7,912) and touchdowns (58), Beck solidified his legacy over his four years in Athens. In his two seasons as their starting quarterback, he was 24-3.

During the first half of the 2024 SEC championship game, Beck hurt his throwing elbow’s UCL. He made a comeback for the game’s last play, but after a successful operation on December 23, he was ruled out for the season. In the spring, he should fully heal and start throwing.

How are his Bulldogs doing? On New Year’s Day, they will play Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Georgia will start with quarterback Gunner Stockton at center. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:45 p.m. EST from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
