Compared to the teams’ previous meeting in the Rose Bowl Game in January, the stakes are significantly different this time around. The last time the Crimson Tide and Wolverines faced each other, a berth in the national championship was at stake. On January 1, 2024, Michigan defeated Alabama 27–20 in overtime to win the national championship.
The Wolverines and Crimson Tide are competing this year for the right to boast and the chance to end the 2024 football season with a bang.
