Mykhailo Mudryk Breaks Silence After Positive Drugs Test Shocks Chelsea

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has spoken out after being notified about a positive drugs test, a situation that has shocked fans and raised serious questions.
On Tuesday, reports revealed that Mudryk had been contacted by the Football Association (FA) about an “adverse finding” in a routine drugs test, which led to his provisional suspension from football.
According to The Daily Mail, the issue might have been caused by a contaminated supplement, reportedly from outside the UK.
Shortly after the news broke, Mudryk took to Instagram to share his side of the story. The Ukrainian forward strongly denied any wrongdoing and assured fans that he is working to resolve the situation.

“I can confirm that I have been notified that a sample I provided to The FA contained a banned substance. This has come as a complete shock as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules. I am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened.
I know that I have not done anything wrong and remain hopeful that I will be back on the pitch soon.”
Mudryk’s statement shows confidence in his innocence, but due to the confidential nature of the investigation, he is unable to share further details for now.
Mudryk reportedly took a routine urine test in August that came back clear. Since then, no red flags had been raised regarding his performance or behavior. However, the recent test has created uncertainty about his immediate future.

Chelsea also released an official statement to back Mudryk and address the situation publicly.
“Chelsea Football Club can confirm the Football Association recently contacted our player Mykhailo Mudryk concerning an adverse finding in a routine urine test.
Both the Club and Mykhailo fully support The FA’s testing programme, and all our players, including Mykhailo, are regularly tested. “Mykhailo has confirmed categorically that he has never knowingly used any banned substances. Both Mykhailo and the Club will now work with the relevant authorities to establish what has caused the adverse finding. “The Club will not be commenting any further.”
Mudryk, who signed for Chelsea in January 2023 for £89 million from Shakhtar Donetsk, has not played for the Blues since November 28. He was last seen during Chelsea’s Europa Conference League match against Heidenheim.
At the time, manager Enzo Maresca stated that Mudryk was “ill,” which was believed to be the reason for his absence. However, the recent developments now shed new light on why he hasn’t been involved.
For now, Mudryk remains provisionally suspended while waiting for the outcome of the ‘B’ sample test and further investigations. If it is proven that the positive test came from a contaminated supplement, Mudryk may avoid any major punishment.
