Arsenal Star voices his Frustrated with Arsenal’s Attack After Draw Against Everton: "We Missed the Final Details"

German forward Kai Havertz has voiced his frustration following Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday. It was another disappointing result for the Gunners, who failed to capitalize on their dominance for the second weekend in a row. Despite controlling possession and creating chances, they could not secure the win, leaving fans and players frustrated.

Speaking after the match, Havertz admitted that Arsenal struggled to convert their dominance into goals.

“It’s very frustrating,” Havertz said. “We controlled the game well and didn’t let them create any real chances. But we couldn’t score, and that’s disappointing because we came here to win. Everton are tough to break down, very strong defensively, especially in the box. We missed small details like finding the final pass or getting into the right positions in the box. These are things we need to work on and improve for the next game.”

This result leaves Arsenal six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who also dropped points in a 2-2 draw against Fulham. Despite the setback, Havertz insisted that Arsenal must focus on their own performances.

“We try to focus on ourselves first,” he explained. “Winning games and collecting points is what matters. That’s why today’s result is so frustrating—we needed to win this game. But we’ll stay positive, stick together as a group, and make sure we do better next time.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta shared Havertz’s disappointment but praised his team’s defensive discipline and overall effort.

“Yes, we’re very disappointed not to win because if any team deserved it, it was us,” Arteta said. “We did everything except score a goal. We didn’t concede anything, controlled the game, and dominated all the key areas. We created three or four clear chances, but we couldn’t convert them. That’s the most frustrating part because, when you work so hard and control the game like we did, you want to be rewarded.”

Arteta highlighted his players’ work ethic, particularly in defensive and pressing phases.

“Our defensive tracking? Amazing. High pressing? Fantastic. Dominating the game? Outstanding. But after all the effort we put in, not getting the win feels disappointing,” he added.
