Manchester City fans call for Kyle Walker to be sold following poor performances, with Andrea Cambiaso rumored as a potential replacement.
Manchester City fans are growing increasingly frustrated with Kyle Walker after yet another disappointing performance, this time in their 2-0 loss to Juventus in the Champions League. The defeat has put City’s chances of progressing to the knockout stages in serious doubt.

The game in Turin saw City dominate possession but struggle to create clear chances. Defensive lapses proved costly once again, with Walker being singled out for his role in Juventus’ opening goal. After Ederson made a save to deny Federico Gatti, Walker was slow to react and failed to block the follow-up cross, allowing Dusan Vlahovic to head in the first goal. Weston McKennie later sealed the win for Juventus.

City supporters took to social media to express their anger with the 33-year-old right-back, who has been the subject of criticism for several poor displays this season.

One fan wrote: “Can we sell Kyle Walker mid-game? Honestly, I’m fed up with watching him get embarrassed every week.” Another added: “Kyle Walker should retire after that goal.”

Others questioned his continued inclusion in the squad, with one saying: “It’s every week with Walker. Why is he still playing? Why is he captain?” Another frustrated fan wrote: “Walker is purposely making my life harder at this point.”

Walker’s performances have led some fans to call for his departure, despite him signing a contract extension in 2023 that ties him to the club until 2026.

Reports suggest Manchester City are actively looking for alternatives in defense, with Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso emerging as a potential target. The versatile full-back, who can play on both the left and right sides, has impressed in Serie A this season.

However, Juventus are reportedly unwilling to sell Cambiaso, who is under contract until 2029. The Italian giants consider him “unsellable,” but City are said to be willing to pay a significant fee to secure his services. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Real Madrid are also believed to be monitoring the 23-year-old.

Walker’s struggles this season have been alarming. His once-reliable defensive abilities and pace now seem to be fading, leaving fans questioning whether he can continue to contribute at the highest level.
