Jadon Sancho reflects on his Chelsea revival and contrasts it with his challenging time at Manchester United in a candid post-match interview.
Jadon Sancho is proving his worth at Chelsea, delivering another stellar performance in their thrilling 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The win pushed Chelsea to second in the Premier League standings, marking their fourth straight league victory.

Sancho, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, has been a revelation since arriving at Stamford Bridge. With eight goal contributions in just 11 matches, the 24-year-old winger is quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Before joining Chelsea, Sancho endured a challenging time at Manchester United. He was sidelined from first-team training following a public clash with manager Erik ten Hag over his performances. Eventually, he was sent to train with the academy squad before a loan move to Borussia Dortmund last January offered him a temporary reprieve.

Now at Chelsea, Sancho seems to have turned a corner. Speaking after the win over Spurs, he shared his thoughts on his impressive form and how he’s adapting to life with the Blues.

When Chelsea found themselves trailing 2-0 just 11 minutes into the game, Sancho remained calm. “To be fair, I have a lot of trust in this squad, so I wasn’t too fazed once we got the first goal back,” he said during a post-match interview with The Premier League Matchday Live.

Sancho’s goal, which helped Chelsea claw their way back into the game, showcased his confidence and hard work. “There was a one-on-one opportunity where I saw the chance to cut inside, and I thought, ‘Why not take a shot?’” he explained. “In training recently, I’ve been focusing on my shooting, particularly on hitting the far corner, so I am very pleased with that.”

Sancho also expressed his gratitude towards Chelsea for helping him feel at home from the moment he arrived. “From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome,” he said.

Reflecting on his time at Manchester United, Sancho admitted he has a point to prove. “I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do. Today, I am happy that I scored and helped secure three points for the team.”

For now, Sancho remains focused on continuing his fine form. “I’m just taking it game by game, and hopefully, I can continue this form,” he said. “I have to say thank you to the whole Chelsea team and the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play.”

With performances like these, it’s clear that Sancho is making the most of his fresh start at Chelsea. If his form continues, he could play a big role in their push for Premier League glory this season.
