Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez has shared his thoughts on the friendly competition between him and Filip Jørgensen. He explained how having two top players in every position helps the team stay strong and ready to compete for trophies.
Sánchez emphasized the importance of rotation, especially with Chelsea playing so many games this season. He noted that both he and Jørgensen are ready to step up whenever needed, thanks to the trust of manager Enzo Maresca.
️ “We have a lot of games this season, and like the manager says, we’ve got two top players in each position. It’s about rotating and performing. We want to compete for trophies, and to do that, we all have to be ready to play,” Sánchez said.
Sánchez also spoke about the strong bond between the club’s goalkeepers. Even though they compete for spots, they work together to push each other and improve.
️ “The group is amazing. We all get along really well and are planning a Christmas dinner together in London,” he revealed. “I play in the Premier League, and Filip plays in the cup games. We’re both helping each other get better.”
The Spanish keeper also praised Betsy and Lucas, two other goalkeepers who haven’t played much but still bring a positive attitude and support the team.
️ “Bets and Lucas aren’t playing as much, but their attitude is great. They push us and help us improve,” Sánchez added.
Sánchez made it clear that the entire team, including the goalkeepers, is focused on one goal: winning trophies. By supporting each other and staying ready, they hope to achieve success this season.
